How our auctions work
Instead of having to visit a physical live auction, we operate an absentee auction bidding system which allows you to place bids by phone, email and post throughout the month of the auction. This keeps our overheads low meaning better value for money if you're a collector or consignor.

There is a monthly auction (except July, August and December). Each auction ends on the last Friday of the month at 8:30pm.
HOW TO PLACE A BID
To place a bid, simply tell our team the maximum amount you wish to pay for a certain lot.

We'll bid for you in increments up to your maximum amount. For example, if the current highest bid on an item is £100 and your bid limit is set at £120, the hammer price will be £105. This ensures you don't have to pay more than necessary.

The bidding increments are:
Up to £29 (£1 steps)
£30-£79 (£2 steps)
£80-£199 (£5 steps)
£200-£499 (£10 steps)
£500-£999 (£25 steps)
Over £1000 (£50 steps)

Please note: Our phone line can get very busy on the final day of the auction. To avoid disappointment, we do recommend placing your bids in advance wherever possible.
